The most common methods of casting bronze statues include lost wax method hammering and casting. The first method of preparation of the bronze statue was a hammer, in which the metal smith nailed a piece of bronze on a piece of wood carved by hammering. That gave shape and form.
Bronze statues also made by pouring liquid bronze into a mold and allowing it to harden. This created a solid statue. However, the only downside was that it was heavy and used a lot of brass. With the result, the statues were smaller in size. Many small statues looked the same mold was used to make several statues. Therefore, to make one of a kind, unique statues, artists began to use the old "lost wax" method.

Of the other forms of bronze casting is still used, the lost wax method developed in utah in 500 BC However, it is believed that the Greeks developed the technique of the "lost wax" on their own or can be a possibility to be copied the utah, and who also knew of this technique.
